Thursday, August 25th, 2011• We welcome Rev. John Young, who will lead our worship today while our minister Lesley Moseley is on holiday.
Lesley returns to work tomorrow.

• The Toddlers’ Group has resumed on a Tuesday at 10am.
If you have friends, relatives, or neighbours with young children, why not invite them to come along? Nancy and Doreen will be happy to welcome them.
• Every Wednesday we have our weekly lunchtime service at 11.30am.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
Bring your sandwiches if you wish.
• The Bible Study Group have a Planning Meeting at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 31st August.
• Summer Sunday Teas
Thanks to all who have helped with the teas during the summer months.
• Flowers
Please tell us of any members, friends, or neighbours you feel would benefit from receiving the church flowers after Sunday services. See Lesley or Alison with suggestions.
• East Renfrewshire Open Doors Day, Saturday 3rd September
Our church will be open from 11am till 3pm on that day.
If you are able to help as a “Greeter” or could accompany people round the church if required, please put your name on the list outside the vestry.
Teas/coffees and homebaking will be available thanks to the catering teams.
• Christian Aid are holding a book sale outside Morrison’s from 10am till 1pm on Saturday 3rd September. Donations of books are welcomed.
If you require them to be uplifted, please phone Sheila on 637 3963 or Gerry on 638 9272.
• Chancel
Please have your articles for the next edition of Chancel to Margaret Cameron by Sunday 4th September.
• Evensong
The first “Evensong” of this session will take place at Park Church at 6.30 pm on Sunday 4th September. This is a lovely informal service with lots of music and singing and you are invited to attend.
• Some deacons have already indicated they wish to attend the “Re-imagining the future” day in Livingston on September 9th.
Please give Alison your name if you wish to go also.
Christian Aid Prayer for the week
During the week please pray for volunteer speakers, taking Christian Aid’s message into churches and community groups.
