A very Happy New Year to you all!

Our minister Lesley Moseley will lead today’s worship.

Our services for January and February will be held in the small hall, as agreed at the last church meeting.

There will be a lunchtime service on Wednesday 5th January, at 11.30am

The Bible Study Group meet on Wednesday 5th January at 7.30pm

Church Flowers. The new calendar for 2011 is now in place outside the vestry. If you have the same Sunday annually, please check you have the correct date. If you do not have the same Sunday every year and prefer to choose one, please add your name in the space provided. We have quite a number of free Sundays so there is plenty of choice! Many thanks.

The 145th Glasgow Scout Group have produced a fund raising calendar priced £8.00, containing photos of each section within the group. Order forms are on the table opposite the vestry. Forms and money should be returned to the Scouts “pigeon hole” outside the vestry.

Please remember to look at the West Link/Glasgow South Churches, and noticeboards marked Local Churches, outside the Lounge.

Remember to renew your subscription to Reform magazine. You do it individually by post or on line.

The Synod is hosting the visit of some Hungarian Youth Workers and is asking members of churches in the Glasgow area if they can provide bed and breakfast between Monday 31st January and Saturday 5th February for a member/members of the group. If you can help, please see Alison for further details.

Remember the Saturday Sales and Coffee Mornings start again on Saturday 8th January with a half price sale.

There is still rice available (to help the project in Malawi) at a cost of £2.99 for brown rice and £2.75 for white rice.

Our minister Lesley Moseley will lead today’s worship.
The choir will sing their Christmas music.

Eastwood Choral’s Christmas Concert will take place tonight in The Park Church at 7pm.

We look forward to the visit of pupils from Braidbar Primary School who are coming on 20th December to visit our church as part of their Religious Education lessons. We are grateful to members who have agreed to help with their visit.

You are invited to join us for the Wednesday lunchtime service at 11.30am.
Please note there will be no lunchtime service on 29th December.

You are invited to join us on Christmas Eve for our Watchnight Service starting at 11.15pm.
Our Christmas Day service will be at 10.30am, and you are invited to bring one of your presents to show to us.

We have a Christmas card notice board on which you can put a card for the congregation and also read messages that have been received. It will be at the front door before the service and in the small hall after that.

We are happy to collect the used stamps from your Christmas cards to pass on to a charity.
Please leave them on the table outside the vestry.

Thank you to everyone who donated dry goods and warm clothes for Loaves and Fishes. They were gratefully received and are now being distributed.

• Our minister Lesley Moseley will lead today’s worship.
This is Gift Sunday and donations of dry goods and warm clothing will be given to the charity “Loaves and Fishes”.

• Chancel. Deliverers please note the Chancel is now ready for distribution.

• We look forward to the visit of pupils from Braidbar Primary School who are coming on 6th and 13th December to visit our church as part of their Religious Education lessons.

• You are invited to join us for the Wednesday lunchtime service at 11.30am.
Lunchbite will follow it at 12.15pm
This will be the last Lunchbite before Christmas. We start again on Wednesday 12th January 2011.

• You are invited to join with the Leisure and Learning Group at 2pm on 8th December for a talk from Roisin Turner, the student who worked with us during summer 2010. Her talk is entitled “The culture of youth and the importance of their inclusion in the church today”.

• Saturday Sales and Coffee Morning
Come on Saturdays between 10am till noon. Get some Christmas goodies before the 11th December when there is a break over the Christmas period.

• Why not bring friends and family to our Family Christmas Service at 3pm on Sunday 12th December? There will be items from Braidbar pupils, our Scouting organisations and there will be a few surprises!

Tonight Park Church has its monthly evening service at 6.30pm to which we are all invited.
Helensburgh URC’s Christmas Tree Festival will take place between the 14th and 19th December.

• If you would like a Prayer Handbook for 2011, please put your name on the order form outside the vestry. The cost is £5 + p&p.
Similarly if you would like a URC diary, put your name on the order form. The cost is £6.25+ p&p.

• Once again we will be delivering joint Christmas cards with Orchardhill Church.
Names of streets to be covered are on the notice board, so if you want to choose your street in advance, put your name against that street!

• A date for your diary!
As part of our ecumenical cooperation, the four Giffnock churches will be singing carols inside Morrison’s to raise money for Christian Aid. Our slot is on the morning of Saturday, 18th December, so plan to keep it free. Those of us who took part last year really enjoyed the experience (as did the customers!!)
