The next church meeting will take place after the service today.
The minutes of the April meeting are on the notice boards.
In addition to the usual preliminaries, the following item for discussion is proposed:
“Supporting Regular Activities” followed by A.O.C.B.
For future church meetings A.O.C.B. should be handed to the secretary before the day of the meeting.

Chancel. Chancels are now ready for uplift by deliverers.

There will be a Community Forum in Shawlands URC on Monday 17th May at 7.30pm.
The subject will be “The Eco Community”.
Speakers are Stephen Alexander (URC Eco link person) and Christine Davidson of Strathclyde University—both of whom are members of “Eco-Congregations Scotland”.

Deacons are reminded that as a result of their short meeting on 25th March, the date of the May Deacons’ meeting has been changed to Wednesday 19th May at 7pm for prayer and 7.30pm for the meeting. This will allow deacons to attend the training session on 26th May at Shawlands URC at 6.45pm.

There is a Day Consultation on Ministry for Deacons and Ministers on Wednesday 19th May from 10.30am till 3pm in Rutherglen URC.
The purpose is to explore the fundamental questions that need to underpin any question of deployment.
Please let Alison know if you wish to attend and to organise transport.
Because of this event, there will be no Lunchtime service on Wednesday 19th.

Help is required to give the place a good “spring clean” on Friday 21st May at 10am. Please help and do what you are able to do. Please give your name to Chris McEwan. Everyone is invited!

Acts of Eastwood Pentecost Praise takes place on Sunday 23rd May at 7pm in St. Aidan’s Church Clarkston. Come and enjoy!

The Church Flower Group are looking for someone to join the team. Please `phone Nan Steele on 639-7222 if you think you can help, or speak to the minister or any of the other group members for further details.

The second last Lunchbite will be at 12.15pm on Wednesday.

The lunchtime service will be at 11.30am and Lunchbite will be at 12.15pm on Wednesday.

Pollokshields URC Concert in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust will take place on tonight at 6pm in the Fotheringay Centre. Tickets £8 (£5) or donation at the door. Charlotte McKenzie (chorister of the year 2008) will be singing.

Acts of Eastwood AGM and Agape meal will be held in St. Joseph’s Clarkston tonight at 7.15pm. See Maureen Stewart if you would like to go.

Christian Aid Week is from Sunday 9th till Saturday 15th May. Can you help?
Would you be willing to collect from even a few houses?

There will be a Christian Aid Plant Sale on Saturday 15th May from 1 till 4pm in Park Church.
