Fairtrade Fortnight Publicity Stall
Inside Sainsbury’s at Muirend on Friday and Saturday 26th/27th February and Friday and Saturday 5th/6th March from 12-2 and 2-4pm. The Ecumenical Forum led by St Josephs Clarkston are looking for volunteers to be on duty promoting Fairtrade products which Sainsbury’s stock throughout the year. The store are very enthusiastic to enlist our help. If you wish to become involved speak to David Christie.
During Fairtrade Fortnight there will be an event called ‘Fairtrade Fashion Fever’ on Saturday 27th February at 7.30pm. Fairly traded clothing and accessories as well as foods will be available. Fairtrade snacks and drinks will be served. Tickets cost £6. See David Christie. Please try to swap your usual brands of tea, coffee, biscuits, bananas, flowers and sweets for Fairtrade equivalents which you will find on supermarket shelves.
Count your blessings 2010—a life changing experience for Lent
These Christian Aid leaflets are available today as Lent started on Wednesday 17th February. Why not take up the challenges for the period of Lent and help those living in poverty across the world?
The lunchtime service will be on Wednesdays at 11.30am followed by the Lunchbite at 12.15pm.
Leisure & Learning. Wednesdays from 2-4pm. A couple of hours among friendly people listening to interesting short talks or watching a DVD. followed by discussion. Everyone welcome!
The Spring Craft Fair will take place on Saturday 17th April from 2pm till 5pm.
Entry costs £1 (50p concession)
There will be a tearoom (pay separately)
Donations are requested for the church table and for the lucky dip.

Reflections for Fairtrade Fortnight.
Pray that through Fairtrade impoverished farmers can build stability in their own lives that together we may tip the balance in favour of the poor. Let us not forget that to defend the rights of the poor and needy is your will. Therefore we pray that through us may your will be done.
