Flooding.
On Tuesday it was discovered that a water pipe in the loft space had burst. There was extensive flooding as a result and much superficial damage in the building. The rooms affected are the Lounge, Office, Choir Room and the flat upstairs. Our insurers have been helpful and prompt in their dealings; our Church Officer has worked hard and repaired the original defect as well as spending a long time cleaning and drying up; others including the Property Group and Alison and David Christie have tirelessly wielded mops and buckets as well as other skills.
When the insurers have been to inspect the damage we will have a better idea of how long we can expect to wait before the damage can be made good. In the meantime please be patient and make the best of a difficult situation.
