There will be no lunchtime service on Wednesday 8th July.

Pray for the effectiveness of the Holiday at Home programme which will run on the 7th, 8th and 9th July and that those who participate will benefit from the activities. Pray also for all those who will help in this venture.

Chris McEwan would like the help of the Cleaning Team on Friday 10th and Friday 17th July when the Church Officer is on holiday. Help would be appreciated from anyone who is free on these dates at 10am.

Deacons are reminded of the invitation from Lesley for Friday 10th July. The time is 7pm for 7.30pm.

Help is required to assist with preparing and serving the tea/coffee after the morning service during the summer months. If you are free to help, please put your name on the notice board outside the vestry.

A flower deliverer is required for 4 Sundays in a year to cover Sandra Kirkwood’s delivery dates. The next date a deliverer is required is Sunday 19th July. If you can help, please see Alison.

Christian Aid Prayer for the week. During the week please pray for all people who have fled from violence in Darfur and are seeking refuge in camps.

A date for your diary! The Scouts invite you to a lunch – a Scoutbyte – on Wednesday 12th August at 12.15pm. This is their next fundraising event so keep the date free.

Since January the Lunch Bite has raised £1500 - £750 has been donated to the church and £750 to Alzheimer’s Scotland.

During the summer months people are encouraged to come to the midweek service on Wednesdays at 11.30am. After the service, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Bring your own piece if you like! Enjoy the fellowship when so many other activities are finished for the summer.

Thanks to those who have offered to help with the baking for the Garden Parties. It is greatly appreciated, and we would be delighted to accept any more offers of help from volunteers. The Saturdays of the Garden Parties are 4th, 11th, 25th July and 1st August. Please tell Alison when you would prefer to bake. Thanks!

The Bible Study Group will meet on Wednesday 1st July at 7.30pm.

There is a concert tonight in Pollokshields URC at 6pm. The Fotheringay Players will perform in aid of ‘The Well’ information and advice centre. A warm invitation is extended to all.
