Welcome to the Scouts who are taking part in our service today.

Deacons are reminded of their meeting on Tuesday 23rd June at 7.30pm preceded by prayer at 7pm.

There will be a short church meeting at the end of the morning service today.

The Scouts invite you to a Musical Evening tomorrow Monday 22nd June at 7.30pm. Eaglesham Music Drama Singing Group will perform “Songs from the Shows”. Tickets priced £5 are available from Peter Campbell.

A date for your diary! The Scouts invite you to a lunch – a Scoutbyte – on Wednesday 12th August at 12.15pm. This is their next fundraising event so keep the date free.

During the summer months people are encouraged to come to the midweek service on Wednesdays at 11.30am. After the service, tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Bring your own piece if you like! Enjoy the fellowship when so many other activities are finished for the summer.

Thanks to those who have offered to help with the baking for the Garden Parties. It is greatly appreciated, and we would be delighted to accept any more offers of help from volunteers. The Saturdays of the Garden Parties are 4th, 11th, 25th July and 1st August. Please tell Alison when you would prefer to bake. Thanks!

We have been invited to a pastoral consultation meeting in Shawlands URC on 24th June at 7.30pm (to be confirmed) and led by Rev John Humphreys. This is to discuss the future of ministry in the south side of Glasgow, and is a very important meeting which could have far-reaching consequences for the churches. You are urged to attend if at all possible.

Christian Aid Prayer for the week. During the week please pray for all volunteers who bring their invaluable time, enthusiasm and perspective to Christian Aid.

Tonight at 6pm there is a joint service with Shawlands and Pollokshields URC in the Shawlands URC building in Moss-side Road.

Remember to keep Saturday 20th June free from 10.30 till 3.00 for our “Quiet Day“. Names please to Alison.

A date for your diary! The Scouts will be joining us on Sunday 21st June and will be taking part in our morning service.

We are hoping to have a Songs of Praise type service on Sunday 28th June at our morning service. People are invited to put the name (and number) of their favourite hymn into the box at the door with the reason why that hymn is important to them.
