Chancel. Articles for the May issue should be given to Douglas Macfarlane no later than Sunday 3 May.

Count Your Blessings. For those of you who have been taking part during Lent, the money is now due! Cheques should be made payable to Giffnock URC.

I would like to pass on my grateful thanks to everyone who very kindly handed in items for the Lucky Dip at the Craft Fair on Saturday. I was overwhelmed when I discovered that we had over 100 items thereby raising £100 before the Craft Fair even started – amazing! Thanks also to all who helped with the Craft Fair. Liz Russell

There is a Pastoral Training meeting on Tuesday 21st at 7p.m. for all deacons and those who visit on behalf of the church.

Lunchbite. There will be Lunchbite as usual on Wednesday 22nd April with the service at 11.30am. Please note there will be no Lunchbite on 29th April.

Eastwood Choral Society’s 25th Anniversary Concert will take place on Sunday 26th April at 7.30pm in Sherbrooke St Gilbert’s Church. Tickets price £8 from Christine, Eleanor or Lynn.

The Jumble Sale will take place on Saturday 2nd May. Distribution of leaflets week commencing 20th April and sorting each night beginning Monday 27th April. Helpers required.

On the afternoon of Monday 18th May we shall be hosting a visit to our area by the Moderator of the URC the Rev John Marsh. Keep the date free. More information to follow.

The Bible Study group will meet on Wednesday 15th April at 7.30pm.

The Women’s Guild are holding a Coffee Evening on Thursday 16th April at 7.30pm. All welcome.

Lunchbite. There will be no lunchbite on 15th and 29th April. You are invited to come to the Lunchtime service at 11.30 am. Bring a “piece” with you and stay to enjoy the fellowship. Tea and coffee will be provided.

The Craft Fair will take place on Saturday 18th April from 2pm-5pm. Please come and give this your support. Gifts for the Lucky Dip are required. They should have the value of at least £1. Donations please to Liz Russell or Margaret Campbell.

Gift Sunday. A very big thank-you to all who contributed.

Lent Studies organised by ACTS of Eastwood.
‘Sense Making Faith’.
Sunday evenings – coffee & tea at 7.30pm; Study starts 8pm. Led by our own minister.

Volunteers are required to deliver Easter Cards to some of the local streets. Please collect cards from the small hall during tea and coffee.

Holy Week
The church will be open during Holy Week on Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th April from 10am – 12 noon. We are looking for volunteers to be on duty to welcome visitors. Please give your names to Alison or Lesley.

On Easter Sunday we shall have Easter Breakfast with Communion at 8 am. Worship with Communion at 11 am.
