Welcome
Giffnock United Reformed Church is a friendly, traditional church in the south side of Glasgow, Scotland. The regular services (at 11am on Sundays) are well attended, while new visitors are of course especially welcome. The minister, Lesley Moseley, leads worship with a passion and character that give a texture to the whole experience, whether as a member or a passer by.
Special Events
Tuesdays at 10am: Mother and Toddler Group, open to families with children aged 0-3.
Each week, our Intimations announce recent news, forthcoming events, and other topics of interest.
Sunday services include communion on the first Sunday of each month. Every week, we have the opportunity to share fellowship after the service over tea and coffee. The junior church welcomes children, while parents can participate fully in the main service.
The church is part of the Scottish United Reformed Church, as well as being active amongst the local ecumenical church activities in Glasgow.
The church benefits from a particularly strong community with activities throughout the week. The “Saturday Sales” include bring-and-buy shopping as well as refreshments. The Wednesday “Lunch Bite” is a shared meal for people available during the week. The Leisure and Learning group explores books and other media together for culture and study. The bible study group works through scripture with lively discussions.
Other organisations take advantage of the spacious church halls, including Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Alcoholics Anonymous, JAM dance school, Weight Watchers and Razzamataz theatre: Activity Schedule.
“Chancel” is our parish magazine with news and articles from the members. You can read articles from this using the links at the side of this page.
The church is at 163 Fenwick Road, Giffnock, Glasgow (full contact information).
